CLIPS FROM COLLEAGUES

(Shared by Tim) – 7th Annual Nichola Goddard Foundation Fundraising Dinner

Sally and I, along with our honourary chairperson, Wes MacAleer, would like to invite friends and colleagues to the 7th Annual Nichola Goddard Foundation fundraiser, which this year will be on Saturday 14 November 2015 at the APM Centre in Cornwall. We are thrilled that Colin and John Angus MacDonald of The Trews will be our guest speakers.

Chef Guy LeClair has volunteered once again to cook a three course dinner – he has been a great supporter of past events. As usual, our intrepid team of volunteers will serve. There will be a silent auction with some interesting items – some which we already have in hand and a number that are still being collected. The menu and the list of items for the silent auction will be circulated prior to the event.

Tickets can be purchased for $125 online (click here) or by cheque, made payable to the Nichola Goddard Foundation and mailed to 45 Parkside Drive, Charlottetown PE C1E 1N1. A tax deductible receipt for $90 will be provided for each ticket purchased.

Should you require an invoice or further information, please contact Sally or me by phone (902) 569 5665 or by email.

If you are unable to attend, please consider buying a ticket anyway – we will find a good person to fill the seat!

We look forward to seeing you on November 14. Thank you,

Tim

PROCESS CHANGES

Please note the following changes to policies and processes within the Faculty of Education:

OVERHEAD TRANSPARENCIES

Overhead transparencies are no longer to be made with Faculty of Education printers or photocopier.  Instructors that have used transparencies are asked to find alternate ways to project their visuals, perhaps through smart boards or electronic means.

TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION

The University requires that any travel outside the province for University business or in the performance of University duties (with the exception of PDTR travel of 5 days or less) must be authorized in writing in advance of travel using the Travel Authorization Form.  That form can be found here.

BOOKSTORE INFORMATION

The UPEI Bookstore requests that ALL instructors provide them with information on textbook requirements, even if you will not require a textbook for your course.  This will ensure that books can be ordered in a timely manner, and that students are provided with accurate information on textbook requirements.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matters.
