STUDENT CONFERENCE CELEBRATING MED ACHIEVEMENTS
Members of the Faculty of Education Community are cordially invited to attend a student conference celebrating their achievements in the MEd program on Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17. A detailed program will be circulated next week.

GRADUATE EDUCATION JOURNAL CLUB
The Graduate Education Journal Club (GEJC) has ended his first year of presentations. The Club has been of tremendous success and has facilitated the promotion and communication of inspiring research with faculty and students.
A special thank you to Dr. Wiebe and Brittany Jakubiec, Dr. MacDonald and Tim McRoberts, Dr. Miller and Yemi Olajide, and to Dr. Bonnie Stewart. Also, a big thank you to all of you who where there to listen, to share, and to discuss research!
Due to its great success, the Graduate Education Journal Club will resume its activities next September. Please let us know if you are interested in sharing your research by emailing Gabriela Sanchez.

FARMERS HELPING FARMERS ANNUAL BEEF BARBEQUE
Farmers Helping Farmers is a strong supporter of our Education students and those in other faculties who complete an international practicum placement or internship in Kenya. The Farmers Helping Farmers Annual Beef Barbeque will be held Saturday, 08-Aug-2014, from 4:00-6:30-m at the Harrington Research Station, 1200 Brackley Point Road. Take out is available. The cost is $30 per adult and $10 per child (12 and under).

Just when you think we have moved past the season of convocations, I am pleased to introduce the most recent graduate in Chez Karen-Anne, Winnie the Wiener Dog:
I am happy to report that Winnie succeeded in this first phase of training
by being heavily bribed with puppy treats by mastering all items on the final test. Congratulations, Winnie!
