So this edition of the Faculty of Education News Blog is brought to you to share all of the great things we’ve had to celebrate this month!
First up, on November 3 and 4, the lovely Zi, Erin and Elizabeth attended the PEI Teacher’s Federation Conference and had a successful booth meeting with teachers to discuss our programs and potential practicum placements. Great work!!!

Then on November 18th the Faculty had a hat-trick of celebrations…

First, Ashley Clark was awarded a MacLauchlan Prize for Effective Writing in recognition of the incredible work she does in developing writing skills (and all around mentoring) with the international students in our Masters and PhD program. Congratulations Ashley!
Next, the Literacy and Numeracy Outreach Project held their official launch in our ELC. Funded by a generous $750,000 donation from Master Packaging, further funding from the PEI Department of Education, and the support of the PEI Public Schools Branch and Island schools, the Faculty is very excited about the possibilities ahead supporting literacy and numeracy education in the province. (You can read about it here!)

And, while not exactly trophy worthy, someone in the office celebrated the milestone of 60 trips around the sun, and they were just as excited about that as they were when they were two.
But why stop the festive feeling there? As December looms on the horizon we encourage everyone to keep the joy going by getting into the holiday spirit in their spaces.
