ANNUAL FARMERS HELPING FARMERS BBQ

Farmers Helping Farmers has been a strong supporter of our International specialization.  The Annual Farmers Helping Farmers BBQ will be held on Saturday, August 12th from 4:00 to 6:30 at Harrington Research Station, 1200 Brackley Point Rd. We are told it is “the best home-grown meal you will find on PEI!”
Carolyn Francis, crfrancis@upei.ca, has tickets if anyone wishes to purchase any – $30 per adult and $10 per child,  Take outs are also available.

FACULTY IN THE NEWS!

The Faculty of Education’s programming in Nunavut was recently in the news with the first ever graduate-level course taught in Inuktitut.  Both CBC and The Guardian carried stories about this milestone event.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The Canadian Association for Teacher Education (CATE) is pleased to invite submissions of proposals to attend the 9th Teacher Education Working Conference from November 2 – 4, 2017 at Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. The theme for this year’s working conference is: Globalization and Diversity in Education: What Does It Mean for Canadian Teacher Education? Details and deadline information can be found here.

This past Friday was the wedding celebration of Alana (Marchand) and Curt MacGuigan.  The Faculty extends warm congratulations to Alana & Curt!!!
