THANKS TO BEd RECRUITMENT TEAM!

Thanks so much to Jill and the recruitment team of instructors, staff and students who helped share information regarding our BEd English and French degrees!

I think we did an excellent job with tremendous energy and enthusiasm. It kind of made me want to do my BEd degree again here at UPEI 🙂

Stay tuned, as we’re doing it again in a couple of weeks.

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH PROJECT:  DEVELOPING STUDENTS’ GLOBAL COMPETENCY IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Linyuan Guo invites faculty to participate in a research project entitled Developing Students’ Global Competency in Higher Education. The purpose of this study is to examine the current International and Indigenous program practices at UPEI with respect to the development of pre-service teachers global competency and compare the findings with an international business program in order to gain a comparative understanding of the best practices in Canadian higher education.

Should you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete an online survey and participate in a one-hour focus-group interview on UPEI campus in Nov. 2013.  An executive research report will be shared with you in fall 2014. This research should benefit you by obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the structure, policy, curriculum, and practices of the SIE programs at UPEI and how students’ global professional competency are developed (or not) in these programs.

Please review the attached consent form for further information. If you decide to participate in this study, please complete the attached form and email it to Linyuan indicating your participation or return a signed copy of this form in her mailbox located on the 4th floor of Memorial Hall by31-Oct-2013.

Please contact Linyuan if you have any further questions.
