UPEI FACULTY ASSOCIATION’S NEW GRADUATE MEDALS
The UPEI Faculty Association is pleased to announce two new awards for graduate students at UPEI, one for Masters level graduate students, and one for PhD level graduate students. TWO ONLINE MOOCS OFFERED BY UBC
The Professional Development & Community Engagement office at the Univerity of British Columbia Faculty of Education is offering two online MOOCs (Massive Open Online Course) this fall:
- Reconciliation Through Indigenous Education (100% free to audit, $50 for a verified certificate). The next offering of this course begins 17-Oct-2017. Details can be found in the attached poster.
- Bringing Mental Health to Schools ($20 registration fee). This course launches 31-Oct-2017. Details can be found in the attached poster.

CANDIDATE PRESENTATION
The Faculty of Education invites members of the campus community – students, faculty and staff – to attend a public presentation by Rose Neville, candidate for a tenure-track position in Educational Leadership. Dr. Neville will present her program of research in the area of educational leadership, and how this program of research could unfold in the PEI context. The presentation takes place from 9am-10am on 25-Sept-2017 in Memorial 417. A meet and greet with Dr. Neville is also planned for 2:30pm that afternoon, in the Education Student Lounge (MH 306). FACULTY OF EDUCATION HOSTS “SOUP FOR THE SOUL”
On 27-Sept-2017, the Faculty of Education will be hosting a free lunch called “Soup for the Soul” at the Chaplaincy Centre on campus. We hope to feed 250 people!
Would you like to help out? We need harvesters, shoppers, prep cooks, cooks, servers, runners and dishwashers! (Some tasks take place the day before the event)

On 18-Sept-2017, Brittany Jakubiec presents a PhD Proposal entitled: “Exploring sexual and gender minority youth identities in Prince Edward Island”. All are welcome to attend the presentation and public discussion on at 1:15pm in HSB 106.
