CHANGES TO CAMPUS HOLIDAY EVENTS
A campus committee created to review current practices and provide feedback to the Vice-President, Administration and Finance has concluded that some holiday events should be amalgamated. Therefore, the Sugar Plum Luncheon and the community reception will not take place this year.
A President’s Holiday Social & Tree Lighting will be held on 06-Dec-2016 from 2 to 4 pm in McMillan Hall at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre where complimentary hors d’ouevres and refreshments will be served. The Office of the President will match donations to the UPEI Food Bank as done in previous years.

CHANGES TO TRC EDUCATION DAY PLANS
The TRC Education Day for school children from the PEI has been amended to involve two phases. We felt that more time was needed to engage with Indigenous peoples regarding how they think this day should be designed.
Phase One will therefore be an “Engagement” session where teachers and other educators from the Department of Education and Early Learning and Culture join with Indigenous peoples from PEI, as well with Charlene Bearhead from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.
Phase Two (date to be decided) will include teachers and their students.
