CALL FOR PAPERS: EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
An educational leadership conference will take place in Kingston, Jamaica, on Mar. 2 and 3. Details can be found on the conference website. Deadline for abstracts is 31-Oct-2016.
The Institute for Educational Administration and Leadership-Jamaica (IEAl-J), the Jamaican affiliate of CCEAM, is one of the conference sponsoring organizations. Our colleague Tim Goddard will be one of the keynote speakers, along with Stephen Jacobson of UCEA, and Sir Patrick Allen, Governor General of Jamaica.

CALL FOR PAPERS: CANADIAN JOURNAL OF EDUCATION SPECIAL CAPSULE ISSUE
The Canadian Journal of Education invites submissions for a special capsule issue — “Teaching Creatively, Creatively Teaching: Exploring the Arts and Design Thinking in Education.” This special issue invites authors to critically engage with the arts and design thinking as methods for promoting creativity and social innovation. Submission details can be found at the attached link. The deadline for submissions is 01-Dec-2016.

HURRAHS!
A double “hurrah”for Faculty colleagues is in the latest issue of the Canadian Journal of Education! The “Special Capsule on Children’s Play” contains an introduction which was co-authored by Alaina Roach O’Keefe as well as an article called “Poetic Inquiry of and on Play” co-authored by Sean Wiebe. Congratulations Alaina and Sean!

There have been a number of wonderful critter additions to our Education families recently! We are happy to introduce you to the following Faculty Fur Babies…
Tomorrow these two adorable kittens (not yet named) will be coming home from the Humane Society to live with Cathy’s family.
Sandy and Fiona recently adopted “Bloom,” an adorable Sheltie pup.
And Karen-Anne’s daughter recently surprised the family with a new pet…. “Blue.”
