BEd STUDENT WINS 2015 CAPTAIN NICHOLA K. S. GODDARD SCHOLARSHIP
At the recent fundraising dinner for the Nichola Goddard Foundation, BEd student Ryan Nicholson received the 2015 Captain Nichola K. S. Goddard Scholarship. This is awarded annually to a UPEI student “who is engaged in a project with focus on issues relevant to indigenous peoples whether in Canada or internationally”. Ryan, from Montague, is enrolled in both the International and Indigenous specializations of the BEd program. In February 2016 he will be travelling to Jokkmokk, in northern Sweden, where he will be completing his teaching practicum in a Saami school.

Ryan with Dr. Goddard and two previous recipients of the Captain Nichola K. S. Goddard Scholarship, Selvi Roy (PhD candidate) and Lisa Mador (BEd 2011).
