CLASS OF 2015
Convocation for the Class of 2015 was held May 9th on campus. In total, graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island included 73 from BEd, 18 from BEd (français langue seconde), 5 from the BEd (Human Resource Development), 13 MEd and our very first 2 PHd graduates. We extend our thanks to all who were able to participate in some way in this important day, and for all of the work in guiding our students to graduation.

A NEW 12-MONTH BEd COHORT BEGINS
The new intake of Bachelor of Education students got off to a great start with Orientation Day on Monday, 11-May-2015. A very special thanks to all who could take the time to come out and meet and talk to our new students. Feedback from the event suggests that this is going to be a great year!

CONGRATULATIONS TO BEd ENTRANCE AWARD WINNERS!
May 11th was also the date of a special awards ceremony held for BEd Scholarship and Bursary winners for 2015-2016. The Faculty would like to thank all those involved in putting this great event together, particularly the Awards Committee (Tess Miller, Lyndsay Moffatt, Diana Tutty, Tracy Doiron, and Yemi Olajide), Nicole Higginbotham, Jill Ross, and the UPEI Department of Development and Alumni Engagement. CONGRATULATIONS JANE AND CAROLYN!
On 11-May-2015, two of our colleagues were recognized with Presidential Awards of Merit. Dr. Jane Preston and Carolyn Francis were recognized for their outstanding performance and dedication to students and community. Jane was awarded a Faculty Presidential Award of Merit for Research, Service and Teaching contributions, and Carolyn was awarded a Staff Presidential Award of Merit for Service. Congratulations Jane and Carolyn!
