DR. TIM GODDARD TO PROVIDE KEYNOTE PRESENTATION DURING INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT WEEK
Dr. Tim Goddard will highlight the 2015 International Development Week at UPEI. This year’s theme is “We make a difference.”
Goddard’s lecture, entitled “The quest for Buen Vivir: For whom are we making a difference, and why?” will take place, 05-Feb-2015 from 2:30-4:00 pm in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre. Admission is by donation, but a ticket is needed for entry. All proceeds will go to the Nichola Goddard Foundation. His talk will draw from contemporary development theory and examples from some of his personal international initiatives. Dr. Goddard will touch on some of our “taken-for-granted” notions regarding the nature of development.
The presentation will be followed by a reception, featuring door prizes and instrumental music from UPEI international student, Jacob Liu. To reserve tickets, and to view a full schedule of events for UPEI’s International Development Week, visit upei.ca/idw.

HURRAHS
As we have just ticked off our first true snow day of Winter 2014-2015, we wanted to send out kudos to one staff member that combined both her parenting and teacher skills to create a truly memorable snow day. We’re looking at you, Jill Ross! When the weather was too bad for the kiddies to play outside, she took the snow inside to them.
That picture is just cuteness and science in equal measure. Bravo, Jill!
