The Faculty of Education congratulates Dr. Kate Tilleczek on being honored with The Canadian Education Association’s Whitworth Award. Awarded every three years since 1967, this award recognizes individuals who have made a sustained and substantial contribution to education research over time. This year’s award recognizes Dr. Tilleczek’s work in articulating the impacts of modern society on marginalized students in the context of transitions through school, mental health, and technology. The International and Indigenous Education Students, along with the Faculty of Education at UPEI, are proud to present their Fall Fundraising Event: Old And New World Wine Tasting. The Prince Edward Island Teachers’ Federation Annual Convention 2013, Engaging Our Students: A Learning Process, takes place October 17 & 18 at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel and Convention Centre. Links to detailed convention program information are available on their website.
On Thursday, October 17th, Martha Gabriel has organized a poster session: Can Research Make a Difference in Practice? You Bet It Can! Graduate students and faculty will be on hand to share their research findings with conference participants.
