ACADEMIC YEAR CALENDARS

The Department of Education’s school calendar has been published and has created no changes to the Faculty of Education’s academic year calendars approved at faculty council.  As the Academic Year Calendars for 2013-2014 are now finalized, we have added a page to this site so you can access them at your convenience.  Please click the “Academic Year Calendars” tab above to view these documents.

NOTE REGARDING EXPENSE CLAIMS

Please note that the Accounting Office has requested that all small expense receipts be taped to and 8.5″x11″ (letter-sized) sheet of paper so that documents can be easily scanned and/or copied*.  Proper preparation of expense claims is the responsibility of the claimant.  Expense claims that have not been prepared properly will be returned to the claimant for proper preparation before they will be processed.

*We encourage everyone to “think green” for this purpose by including multiple receipts on a single page and using the clear side of recycled paper where possible.

CLICKER RESPONSE TECHNOLOGY LUNCH & LEARN PRESENTATION

Jason Ellis, UPEI’s Turning Technologies representative will give a “Lunch & Learn” presentation on Clicker Response Technology on June 25th from Noon-1:00 pm in Andrew Hall 142.  A light lunch will be provided.  Please see the attached poster for details.

2013 CONFERENCE ON EDUCATION AND EVALUATION

The 2013 Conference on Education and Evaluation (CEAE 2013) will be held on September 20-22, 2013 in Beijing, China. This Conference will cover issues on Education and Evaluation.

The conference currently has a Call For Papers (deadline for submission July 15, 2013) and a Call for Speakers (send CV and photo by email).

8TH INTERNATIONAL GENDER AND LANGUAGE ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE – JUNE 5-7, 2014

The 8th IGALA bi-annual conference will be held in Vancouver, BC at Simon Fraser University’s downtown campus on June 5th through June 7th, 2014.  The theme of the Conference is “Shifting Visions” to inspire fresh and original thinking and perspectives concerning gender and language research.  Details can be found on their website.  Abstract submission deadline is 30-Nov-2013.
