FIRST GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES MED COHORT WRAPS UP THEIR COURSEWORK

The Faculty of Education celebrated a watershed moment last week. The first Global Perspectives cohort of students in the MEd Leadership in Learning program have completed their course requirements, an achievement celebrated with a small reception hosted by Dean MacDonald and his wife Erin. Many of the faculty and staff who have taught and otherwise been involved with this cohort over the past 16 months joined the students to enjoy a pot-luck meal and celebratory cake. And the weather cooperated to make this a memorable evening, as the first snow storm of the season fell outside!

CREATING A CULTURE OF RESEARCH FOR GRADUATE PROGRAMS

We had a fantastic first semester of research discussions at our Graduate Program. We would like to thank all the faculty members and graduate students who took the time to participate and fully engage in these discussions. In particular, we would like to show our most sincere appreciation to our journal meeting leaders (Valerie Campbell and Dr. Maryam Wagner) and the presenters of our first Research Seminar (Mary MacPhee, Selvi Roy, and Lizzie Yan Yan). Thank you for taking the lead and for paving the way for future presentations!

HOSTING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FOR CHRISTMAS

Christmas HouseJust a reminder that we are looking for families to welcome some of our international students into their holiday celebrations. If you can include some students in your holiday plans, please contact Christa.  This is a great opportunity for our international students to learn more about traditions here, and to enrich our own opportunities to learn more about these students and their traditions.
