2014 PEITF ANNUAL CONVENTION
The annual convention for the PEITF will take place this year on October 9 & 10 at the Delta Prince Edward Hotel. The Annual Convention Brochure and a short podcast, giving more information about the Convention, are available on the PEITF website at the links noted below.
We are also looking for faculty and staff to represent the Faculty of Education at our booth at the conference. We need volunteers for Thursday from 1:30pm-4:00pm (or parts thereof), and Friday from 11:30am-4:00pm (or parts thereof). Please contact Cathy if you can volunteer during any of those times. Even if you cannot spare a block of time, please drop by the booth and show your support!

FACULTY COUNCIL MEETING
The next Faculty Council (FEC) meeting will be held 15-Oct-2014 from 1pm-3pm in AVC 287N. UPEI President, Alaa Abd-El-Aziz, will join the meeting at around 2pm. The agenda and any associated materials will be send to voting members and placed on the VRE in advance of the meeting.

BYOP – OCTOBER 25
The Faculty’s first ever BYOP (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) family event will take place October 25th from 3pm-7pm at Cathy’s home (362 Dougan Road, Donaldston).
Bring your pumpkins.
Bring your kids.
Bring your magic wands…
Magic wands have proven very useful in pumpkin carving.

FARM HARVEST LUNCHES
Farm Harvest Lunches is a fund-raiser for School Twinning in Kenya and includes approximately $3000 in assistance for our pre-service teachers who complete a practicum in Kenya. Farmers Helping Farmers invites you to The Olde Glasgow Mill Restaurant to participate in this three course lunch during thanksgiving weekend (October 11 & 12 from noon to 4pm). Tickets are $25 per person and reservations are highly recommended.
