SOWING SEEDS: PROFESSIONAL LEARNING FOR A NEW GENERATION
Dr. Lyndsay Moffatt, an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education has launched a new Teacher-Inquiry group for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 teachers on Environmental Education. The group has 15 members and has agreed to meet once a month for the next year to support each other in learning how to bring Environmental Education into childcare and school settings. Dr. Moffatt is also conducting research on how this inquiry group may work to support educators’ professional learning in this area. Lyndsay was recently interviewed on CBC Radio’s Island Morning about this project. If you know of a teacher who may be interested in participating, please ask them to email Lyndsay.

ALMOST HURRAH … THE MEMORIAL SHUFFLE
The Memorial Shuffle is kind of like the Spongebob Shuffle but with less dance moves and more cake eating. We are pleased to report that later this week the office staff in Memorial 402 are finally moving to their real spots in the great cubicle shake up of 2014. There may be momentary delays in responses as we get things straightened away.
