INSTRUCTOR HANDBOOK MODIFICATION

Please note that a modification has been made to the Handbook for Instructors.  With respect to the section on Class Attendance (Page 10), when the handbook was originally posted this section suggested that if a student missed more than two classes, the Coordinator must be informed.  This has been modified to more accurately indicate that once two classes have been missed, the Coordinator of the appropriate program should be notified.

SCENT FREE SPACE

Dear colleagues,

faced-share-airIt has come to my attention that it is important to remind everyone that we work in a scent-free space. Many people are very sensitive to perfumes and other scents – for me, for examples, I get stuffed up and have trouble breathing and my eyes start scratching and I get a headache. Others are susceptible to migraines.

I ask you to be PLEASE be considerate of your colleagues and our students.

THANKS

Miles

LET’S TALK TEACHING DAY – 03-SEPT-2013

At this year’s Let’s Talk Teaching Day, we have a big question for you:

What Do You Think You’re Doing?

  • How do we explain what we do?
  • Do we know what our colleagues do?
  • What does the community think we do?

Please join us on Tuesday, September 3rd (Room 329, Don and Marion McDougall Hall) for a day of discussion and learning. Lunch and coffee will be provided. A brief agenda is attached.

Please register before Thursday, August 29th by emailing Gerald Wandio in the Faculty Development Office.
