UNIVERSITY AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE: CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
UPEI annually acknowledges individuals for their outstanding contributions to the success of the University. The awards are valued at $1,000 each and given in recognition of the excellence of faculty, librarians, clinical veterinary professionals, clinical nursing instructors, sessional instructors, and staff.
Nominations are open and must be submitted to universityawards@upei.ca by the last Friday in February each year. This year, nominations close on 23-Feb-2024.

EFFECTIVE PRESENTING AND PUBLIC SPEAKING FOR ACADEMICS
The UPEI Teaching & Learning Centre is presenting a lunch and learn opportunity on: Effective Presenting and Public Speaking.
Facilitated by Ann Worth of Worth Consulting Group, the event takes place Tuesday, February 20, 2024 (Snow date: Thursday, February 22), 11:00 am–12:30 pm, in the Teaching and Learning Centre Robertson Library Annex, Room 230.

FOOD DRIVE IN FEBRUARY
The Faculty of Education invites you all to make a donation to our Faculty of Education Food Drive in Memorial Hall in support of the UPEI Food bank. Boxes for food have been placed in both the Main Office on the 4th floor and in the Education Learning Commons.
The Food Bank will accept anything that is not perishable preferred items include:
- pasta and sauce
- tuna and sardines
- canned vegetables – especially corn niblets, peas and carrots (together), and mixed vegetables
- canned beans – black, kidney, navy
- granola bars
- Kraft Dinner
- porridge
Please drop your donation off by the end of February. No donation is too small! Thank you for your generosity. Let’s show UPEI campus what the good people in the Faculty of Education can do!

The Faculty of Education is hosting the Soup for the Soul event on 27-Feb-2024! Help us make this a great event for our Campus Community by signing up for the team preparing, serving and tidying up. Many hands make light work and students need our support!

34TH FACULTY DEVELOPMENT SUMMER INSTITUTE
The Faculty Development Summer Institute returns this May 28-31, 2024 for 3½ days of multifaceted, proactive teaching and learning about active learning in the classroom.
Cost sharing may be possible! Please contact the Dean if you are interested.
